What about Markstrom's 2 soft goals?

K-Man should be in to comment on that after the next Flames win...

This Flames team is a hard team to be a fan of. They never step up for the games the fans want them to step up. Should of buried the Oilers. The only silver lining is that they probably spurred a turn around run for them in the games to come so they stay the course, to the chagrin of most Oiler fans

Exactly, I hate that they broke out of their slump against the Flames

What does that even mean? The Flames stepped up. The Flames played well, the Oilers weren’t awful and Koskinen won the game. That’s sports. Can’t win them all.

Complain about their lack of finishing and how they always seem to make goalies look better than they are, but saying they didn't match the Oilers' level or didn't step up is just silly.

Can’t expect Markstrom to be lights out every game. He wasn’t the reason the Flames lost.
Fun fact Dan Vladar has more shutouts than all your Canuck and Oiler tenders combined. You can’t make that up.

Thanks Trevor
Agree refereeing was the Sh!ts, blatant missed call on the go ahead goal. That being said though Drai was on a mission and probably would have scored again anyways.

This loss really emphasizes the Falmes lack of secondary scoring. Wtf happened to Mang? He seems more interested in mixing it up than scoring.
Thought Monahan looked better again, rang that one off the post in the 3rd that could have been the difference maker.

Nothing silly about it. I watched that game & I have seen the Flames play way better, way more structured & a lot crisper this year. Passes werent on the tapes & they seemed rushed to do something when they did get the puck. You must be younger & used to having a mediocre team. Sorry, quite frankly Im sick of it. If we can never beat the Oilers kiss any run in the playoffs goodbye.

Wasn’t long ago when this was reversed. Flames have been mediocre for a long time. We don’t finish bad enough to get a top 3 draft pick.
Treliving has built sh!t here, not fast enough or big enough to have success in the playoffs.
We seem to float through the seasons giving fans glimpses of what we want only to fail in the playoffs.

The Flames consistently make goalies look better than they are. Getting pretty tired of hearing the goalie stole that one. At some point you need to burry one of the several high quality chances that the Flames had.

Call it what you want, but I see it as a lack of scoring ability.

Equally frustrated with them dominating the 5vs5 play and not being able to put teams away.

I agree that they make goalies look good a lot of the time but Koskinen legitimately stole that game.

Markstrom being .870 did not help.

Yah he played good, but the Flames are the common denominator all the times they have ran into a "hot" goalie. Need to start solving the problem, however that may be.
